March 28th, 2024 - 10:30am

As part of the TN'Teens event organised by The Dots on Thursday 28 March in Belval, Orange Luxembourg is inviting secondary school pupils to discover technological solutions such as Generative Artificial Intelligence and virtual reality. Through a series of workshops, the operator hopes to enable young people to familiarise themselves with these tools and approach them in a responsible manner. The aim is also to encourage secondary school students to consider the career opportunities associated with tech professions and to support digital innovation.

Bertrange, 28 March 2024 - Technological developments are profoundly transforming our society. Digital technology is revolutionising the way we live, making our daily lives easier and impacting the way we organise our work. At a time when these transformations are accelerating, it is more important than ever to familiarise young people with the possibilities offered by new technologies, while making them aware of the limits of these tools.

On Thursday 28 March, as part of the third edition of the TN'Teens event, organised by The Dots in Belval, Orange Luxembourg will be reaching out to more than a hundred secondary school students, in particular by offering an "Orange Digital Center - Hors les murs" workshop, to help them discover these technologies and what they have in store for them in the future.

TN'Teens is an annual event designed to bring together the talents of tomorrow around the theme of new technologies. Through a series of workshops and presentations, the event gives young people the opportunity to discover different branches of digital technology, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and virtual reality.

Enabling young people to use technology responsibly

"As a key player in the digital transformation of society, Orange supports the development of digital skills from an early age. We are therefore delighted to be taking part in TN'Teens once again," explains Barbara Fangille, Head of Communication at Orange Luxembourg. Through this event, our aim is to enable secondary school students to get to grips with digital technologies, to understand the opportunities associated with their use, but also their limitations. Beyond that, we also hope to inspire young people, especially girls, to take up careers in the digital sector, which currently offers some excellent career prospects.

Learning about generative AI and virtual reality

Orange Luxembourg will be taking an active part in this event. In partnership with the start-up LetzAI, the operator will be offering a workshop on generative artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is now omnipresent in our daily lives, although we are not always aware of it," continues Barbara Fangille. During this workshop, students will be able to discover the various fields of application linked to generative artificial intelligence, as well as how it works. Jacques Weniger, creator of LetzAI, will explain everything there is to know about this platform, which is capable of automatically generating digital images. Participating secondary school students will then have the opportunity to get to grips with the tool and create their own image, which they can take home and print out in Polaroid format".

Orange Luxembourg will also be offering a virtual reality activity. High school students will be able to play a tennis match with another participant in a 100% virtual environment.

A quiz to test your tech culture

At the end of this exceptional day, a big quiz will be organised to test their tech knowledge, with various questions on the themes of artificial intelligence, coding, cybersecurity and virtual reality. The finalists will receive a range of prizes, including Airpods and an Apple Watch series 8 courtesy of Orange.
