Cybersecurity, generative artificial intelligence and intelligent industry: Orange at Nexus2050

Press Release
Press Release

June 25th, 2024 - 5pm

Nexus2050, the new international tech event taking place in Luxembourg on June 26 and 27, will give Orange the opportunity to present its services to businesses in the fields of cybersecurity, data, artificial intelligence and smart industry.

Bertrange, June 25, 2024 - On June 26 and 27, technology professionals and all those interested in discovering the opportunities offered by the latest technological developments will be meeting at Luxexpo The Box. Orange, one of Europe's leading digital players, will of course be taking part.

The strength of an international group

At Nexus2050, Orange Luxembourg, as an operator and provider of connectivity solutions, Orange Business, which supports the digital transformation of businesses, and Orange Cyberdefense, Europe's cybersecurity leader, will present their expertise in supporting businesses in these areas.

"Our aim is to show how our entities, working together, contribute to making digital a lever for development, through comprehensive and personalized support, from connectivity support to the implementation of cutting-edge technological solutions, including information systems protection, attack detection and security incident management", assures Jean-Sébastien Berneyron, Head of BtoB Sales at Orange Luxembourg.

Cybersecurity, a major challenge

Today, all digital transformation projects must take cybersecurity issues into account. To better understand risks and threats, and to be able to react effectively in the event of an incident, organizations need to prepare themselves and equip themselves with appropriate tools and procedures: awareness, detection and response, incident follow-up... During the conference, Sergio Alves Domingues, CTO of Orange Cyberdefense Switzerland, will discuss these challenges on stage.

Orange will also be offering visitors the chance to test their ability to respond to a cyber crisis by taking part in a virtual reality simulation exercise.

Generative AI in action

On the Orange stand, visitors will be able to discover how, in very concrete terms, generative AI is helping to improve operational processes. Through demonstrations, everyone will have the opportunity to see this technology in action, to better envisage how it could meet their day-to-day needs.

The possibilities offered by this technology are numerous. Our aim is to enable each structure to get to grips with it, by showing how the tool can be integrated into the heart of organizations, while taking care to answer the many questions that arise, particularly in terms of preserving data confidentiality", comments Denis Stoz, Managing Director Orange Business - Digital Services Luxembourg.

Supporting the industry's digital transformation

Orange will also be demonstrating how AI can help strengthen security on industrial sites, with the implementation of the Surveily solution, for example.

"This is an AI-based workplace safety solution. Based on images from existing cameras, it enables a continuous monitoring system to be set up. The solution provides real-time security information, enables proactive risk management and manages customized security rules and reports," comments Karim Himmiche, head of innovation Center - Orange Business. This solution helps improve security protocols, reduce incidents and improve operational efficiency."

Through these not-to-be-missed workshops and events, Orange will be showcasing all its expertise, to help visitors better envisage the integration of digital services.
