Orange Luxembourg announces the exclusive launch of an electronic device repair service in partnership with the startup Reevive. This way, the operator allows all customers to easily access a network of authorized repairers as well as independent repairers located near them. With this offering, Orange reaffirms its commitment to better meet consumer expectations, regardless of their needs, by ensuring they receive the best daily experience.
The options for repairing a faulty smartphone, tablet, or laptop are increasing. However, users often do not know where to turn when their screen is cracked or their device is malfunctioning. To facilitate access to repair services, Orange Luxembourg integrates the offering of the startup Reevive, often referred to as the "Uber of repair."
"Exclusively in Luxembourg, all customers will be able to access a platform that allows them to report an issue with their device and receive repair offers from nearby providers in just a few clicks," explains Mustapha Rahem, Head of B2C Sales at Orange Luxembourg. Currently, the service lists about ten authorized repairers in the region, including manufacturer-authorized and carefully certified independent repairers by Reevive. Users can directly discover who can assist them based on their device brand and issue, as well as the associated costs.
"We are very happy to collaborate with a major player like Orange Luxembourg. This partnership allows us to expand our mission: to make electronic repair more accessible and of high quality. Thanks to Orange, our certified repairers can offer reliable service to a broader audience while contributing to extending the lifespan of devices. This is a significant step forward for sustainability and customer experience," explain Matthieu Huet & Vianney Bernard, Co-Founders of Reevive.
Improving Repair Support
The service is accessible to individuals and SMEs through the Orange Luxembourg website (www.orange.lu). Sales representatives in the stores can also consult the services of various authorized repairers, whether manufacturer-authorized or certified by Reevive for their reliability, and effectively guide users.
"While Orange already offered repair services, the integration of this new solution aims to enhance user service. This development is directly linked to our new tagline 'Orange is here' and reflects our commitment to getting even closer to our customers and responding more effectively to their needs," continues Mustapha Rahem. It also aims to remove existing barriers to repair. Through the platform, issues are quickly identified, and device handling can be significantly expedited.
Enhancing Experience, Extending Device Lifespan
This new platform lists all repairers, whether manufacturer-authorized or certified by Reevive, to ensure both the quality of repairs and the preservation of device warranties.
"Beyond our commitment to being there for our customers and providing the best experience, regardless of their needs, the deployment of this new service is part of our CSR approach. The goal is to prioritize the repair of faulty devices over their replacement," adds Barbara Fangille, Head of Communication at Orange Luxembourg. It is encouraging to see customers looking to extend the lifespan of their devices and also recycling them for a second life. Additionally, more customers are purchasing refurbished smartphones.
For several years, Orange Luxembourg has offered its RE program for the recovery, repair, and recycling of devices. For repairs handled directly by Orange, rather than by one of the repairers listed on the Reevive platform, a replacement phone may be provided during the workshop period.
Enhancing Experience through Innovation
"The deployment of this new solution also reflects our innovation dynamics in service of customers, particularly through supporting startups. We are very pleased to support the development of Reevive, which was looking for a Luxembourg partner to expand its international activity. By leveraging their offering and expertise, the goal is to gradually enrich the services provided on the platform," adds Mustapha Rahem.
This new service is now accessible via repair.orange.lu.
