Orange Luxembourg invites you to take a walk for the environment in partnership with the start-up No Big Deal and the association Serve The City

No Big Deal
Press Release

Luxembourg, March 18th 2022

The operator is inviting its employees and all volunteers to take part in a sportive challenge for the environment in collaboration with No Big Deal and Serve The City. The "LetzClean" challenge proposes to walk 35,000 steps in 6 days or to run 7 km in 55 minutes. Once 1000 challenges have been completed, Orange will fund the collecting of 1 ton of waste by Serve The City volunteers.

Since its launch at the end of 2020, the start-up No Big Deal has been inviting you to take on various sporting, environmental or social challenges to contribute to and support civic initiatives.

For each challenge you complete, you get a reward that takes the form of either a benefit from a commercial brand or a donation to a good cause.

Challenges to serve the community

This Friday, Orange Luxembourg and No Big Deal are launching a new challenge. The operator invites its employees and all volunteers to take up the "LetzClean" challenge. This challenge proposes to take 35,000 steps in six days or to run 7 km in less than 55 minutes. To participate, nothing could be easier: just download the No Big Deal application, create an account and choose the LetzClean by Orange challenge. You can complete your challenge on the day or days of your choice.

Contribute to the collection of a ton of waste

For each challenge completed, Orange Luxembourg commits to support the Serve the City citizen movement by financing the collection, transport and disposal of one kilogram of waste collected by volunteers. The challenge will end when one ton of waste has been collected. That's 1,000 challenges completed.

Acting for change, step by step

Quentin Delforge, Co-founder - No Big Deal

"We often find that people are concerned about the environment, but don't always know where to start. With this initiative, taking action for the planet is as simple as putting one foot in front of the other. We want to give each person the feeling of impact and achievement that encourages them to take another action and then another... That's what this partnership is all about. Working with Orange on this LetzClean campaign seemed natural from the start. Sustainability is an integral part of their DNA and is reflected in everything they do, especially here in Luxembourg."

Barbara Fangille, Head of Communication - Orange Luxembourg

"This initiative is in line with the launch of our "RE" Program. With a view to preserving the environment and with the desire to raise consumer awareness of this issue we are offering REcycling, REconditioning, REparation and REdeeming of mobile phones. This programme is at the heart of the Orange Group's strategic commitments for 2025."

Supporting No Big Deal and the innovation community

On the other hand, Orange Luxembourg is strongly committed to innovative start-ups like No Big Deal. Beyond this new kind of partnership, the operator offers other initiatives to support the ecosystem of young innovative players. Through Orange Fab, Orange Luxembourg has created a growth acceleration programme for young innovative players. The operator also offers, in partnership with the Silicon Luxembourg community, the video series "The Elevator". In these, the founders of Luxembourg start-ups are given 30 seconds to pitch their business as they climb the highly symbolic Pfaffenthall lift.
